Students will wear the school uniform Monday through Thursday. Friday is designated as spirit day and students can wear their KCC spirit T-shirt with jeans. The uniform and spirit shirts will be available through an approved vendor. Parents are provided with the uniform policy and are asked to acknowledge their child will adhere to the uniform policy that can be found under the respective campuses’ tab at www.mykidscc.org.
*Deviation from the uniform policy that are required due to disability, religion, or medical reasons will be reviewed and decided on a case-by-case basis by administration.
The uniform policy will be enforced to ensure minimal disruption to the school day. If students are able to remove/adjust articles to become compliant, no infraction will be given. Also if parents respond by bringing appropriate clothing then no infraction will be given. Consideration will be given to the severity of the infraction. The following process will be followed for uniform infractions:
1st infraction: Verbal warning; parents called or emailed and change of clothes requested; and a copy of the uniform policy is provided to parents.
2nd infraction: Parents called to request a change of clothes; email and letter sent notifying parents of infraction.
3rd infraction: Parents called to request a change of clothes; email and letter sent notifying parents of infraction and advising of detention - 1 day.
4th infraction: Parents called to request a change of clothes; email and letter sent notifying parents of infraction and advising of detention - 2 days.
5th infraction: Parents called to request a change of clothes; email and letter sent notifying parents of infraction and advising of detention - 3 days. A meeting with campus administration will be required.
6th infraction: Referred to campus administration for additional consequences as provided in the code of conduct.
*Students who are repeatedly asked to remove non-KCC outerwear will not be allowed to bring it back on campus.
KCC student uniforms will consist of:
Shirts: Students must wear school logo polo shirts. School uniform shirts are available in short and long sleeve. Students are not required to “tuck in” but shirts should be free of holes and frayed seams and must be long enough to avoid exposed skin when reaching.
Bottoms: Uniform bottoms will consist of khaki pants/walking shorts for boys. Girl uniform bottoms will consist of khaki pants, Bermuda shorts, skirts, skorts and capris. Uniform bottoms must be knee length (no more than four inches above the knee). Students are not required to wear a belt but uniform bottoms should sit at the waist. Uniform bottoms should be free of rips and frayed hems.
Spirit Friday: Students may wear any sleeved KCC uniform spirit shirt, KCC sports jersey or KCC event shirt with BLUE jeans. “Jeans” will include long pants/shorts, skirts, skorts and capris. Jean bottoms should be knee length. Colored jeans, skinny jeans, “joggers" and denim leggings are not permitted. Jeans should be free of rips and frayed hems.
PE Uniforms: Only Middle school students are required to purchase PE uniforms. PE uniforms consist
of a logo dri-fit shirt and navy mesh shorts. All KCC students may purchase a PE uniform shirt to wear
on “Spirit” Fridays. PE UNIFORMS ARE REQUIRED.
Jackets/Sweaters: KCC logo outerwear (zipped hoodie, fleece jacket, sweatshirt) is available for purchase through the uniform vendor. Students must wear KCC Logo jackets only inside the building.
Shoes: Shoes should be closed toe/closed heel with rubber soles. The majority of the shoe should be conservative in color: white, black, gray, navy, maroon, brown or khaki. Shoes should be free of patterns, embellishments, bling” and characters. For safety reasons, high heels, boots, UGGs and knee-high sneakers are not permitted.
Under Garments: Any partially visible under shirts should be solid white, navy, maroon, black or gray. They should not have visible lace, beaded or embroidered hems. Boxers/briefs should not be visible.
Socks/tights: Socks should be solid white, black, gray, khaki, or navy. Tights should be solid white,
navy or maroon only.
Accessories: Hair accessories should be conservative (navy, maroon, gold,white). Jewelry should also be conservative: no large hoops/dangling earrings (larger than a quarter). Administration reserves the right to request students to remove jewelry if it poses a safety hazard or causes a distraction in the classroom.
Backpacks: NO wheels on student backpacks – it is a tripping and fire hazard. Patterns/characters are permitted. Backpacks should be free of any offensive pictures, language or symbols.

4th infraction: Parents called and change of clothes requested. Email and letter sent for 3rd warning advising detention - 2 days.
5th infraction: Parents called and change of clothes requested or child picked up. Email and letter sent for 4th warning advising detention - 3 days and meeting with Assistant Director.
6th infraction: Referred to Administration
